Who we are

Gli Amici is an independent group of young singers and instrumentalists, run by students for students, who meet with the aim of bridging the gap between youth orchestras, higher education, and even the profession, with members’ ages ranging from about 15 to 30.

Edward Lewis, former Chairman of Gli Amici della Musica, will exchange his chair for a baton as he takes over as Choral Conductor of the Society with effect from the Christmas 2000 season.

Gli Amici della Musica, Dorset's leading young musicians, played to a packed house in Christchurch Priory on Saturday 2 September as their Summer season concert drew a sell-out audience of more than 330.
